I find this message at the start of the boot log.
Inspecting /boot/System.map-2.6.27.19-3.2-default Cannot find map file. No module symbols loaded - kernel modules not enabled.
Cannot build symbol table - disabling symbol lookups klogd 1.4.1, log source = ksyslog started.
Here's the results of ls -l System.map-2.6.27.19-3.2- default from within /boot.

I have the kernel -default, base, extra and docs, kernel- source, kernel- symbols rpms installed. (2.6.27.19-3.2.1- x86_64)
Is there something else I need to install. One hit on SUSE Forum implies this is normal. Is It? How do I get the symbols installed so I can do back traces?
Thanks for any information.
If it is about kernel then this article should give some answers: http://en.opensuse.org/Bugs/Kernel
Each rpm has debug info package in this repository: http://download.opensuse.org/debug/
For instance 11.1 you need:
http://download.opensuse.org/debug/distribution/11.1/repo/oss/
and http://download.opensuse.org/debug/update/11.1
