Hi Scott,
In fact I did read the README and it was confusing. Your explanation is confusing. If I understand the README, there should be 5 CDs for 9.3 pro, one DVD for 9.3 pro, and one DVD for 9.3 live eval. There should be 2 DVD iso images. I see only one. I guess I still don't understand the difference because the label on the C dvs DVD is pro vs. eval.
The download DVD, like the boxed set DVD contains both 32 & 64 bit versions. However, it contains fewer 32 bit packages than the boxed set DVD. This may be due to fitting it on a single layer DVD, whereas the boxed DVD is dual layer. Regardless of the install source, missing packages can be installed from the mirrors. You can configure Yast to look to one of those mirrors, instead of the CD/DVD, when installing new packages.
There is no install DVD available for download. The only 64 bit iso is for network install only. -- Ken Schneider UNIX since 1989, linux since 1994, SuSE since 1998 "The day Microsoft makes something that doesn't suck is probably the day they start making vacuum cleaners." -Ernst Jan Plugge
