I've got this strange kppp problem with 7.0. Any non-root user, activating kppp for the 1st time after a system reboot, will get an error message saying that the kernel is not compiled with pppd or loadable module is not available. On acknowledging the error message, the usual kppp dialog box appears and will dial only to die unexpectedly. I've to manually add the user entry into the pap-secrets file for it to dial successfully. Strange thing is, for all subsequent kppp activation the error message will not appear again (until another cold boot, that is). This problem does not happen to the root account. I don't have this problem with 6.4 at all. What's with 7.0? Any help here is greatly appreciated.
