I believe there are commands to add and remove disks from the btrfs during run-time.
Examples or references please.
btrfs filesystem resize [devid:][+/-]<newsize>[kKmMgGtTpPeE]|[devid:]max <path> Resize a filesystem
btrfs device add [options] <device> [<device>...] <path> Add a device to a filesystem btrfs device delete <device> [<device>...] <path> Remove a device from a filesystem btrfs scrub start [-BdqrRf] [-c ioprio_class -n ioprio_classdata] <path>|<device> Start a new scrub. If a scrub is already running, the new one fails. btrfs scrub cancel <path>|<device> Cancel a running scrub
Neither of these commands changes raid type of btrfs. You need "btrfs balance" to do it.
They were never meant to change the raid type. This was to show that you can add and remove drives. -- Joseph Loo jloo@acm.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
