Hi everyone. Yep, I agree. No problem but. . . Has anyone managed to get the ttf's printed from a worthwhile application? Luv from Clara x x x
Thankyou. Actually the trouble I was referring to was not with the installing > (that went ok) but with setting up the t1lib.config file. > But you answered that question implicity I think....that I dont have > to bother setting it up to get gsfontview to work.

I meant to copy my reply to the list, so Nourai will get this twice.

Did u install t1lib before installing gfontview? Did you manage to set up t1lib?
Yes. I got the rpm for t1lib from rpmfind and it installed with no problem.
Another thing. There's a configure option to use the "ungif" library rather than "gif". I used that. "ungif" is on the SuSE CD in gra.
I had a bit of trouble doin this.
So did I, but in the end it worked.

Can't help with xfontsel. I have only a small collection of tt fonts and it does the same to me.
There's an alpha GPL fontviewer, gfontview, at www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Foothills/1458/ I wasn't able to use the rpm, but I did compile the source and it works OK for viewing fonts.

After installing a large collection of TrueType fonts, I'm now encountering the problem that the xfontsel dropdown list for the font families is too long to fit on the screen. The bottom part of it is invisible. Because the only way to view the list is to hold down the left mouse button while moving down it, the mouse isn't available for any other adjustments such as moving the entire list upwards.
Any ideas on how I can view the entire list?
