Hi folks
This is going to sound strange but it has been so long since i have had to manually update the kernel i have basically forgotten the steps for opensuse
As you can see from my sig block below i am using stock off the dvd kernel with normal updates if any i am have the odd pregnant pause now and then that i believe is the kernel thing
I have the Nvidia driver from the repo installed and working ok now what and where do i get the kernel form and is it just a case of unpacking it with rpm or is there more
daft question i know but it is probably 5 plus years since i have had cause to install a new kernel ..
Pete .
You can also install multiple kernel versions with YaST, which uses a newer feature in zypper.
