Is this the report? It's for 15.1. Can you update it for 15.2?
Thanks for your interest. Yes, that's the report. Sure, I can update it.
Done. I can not upload the coredumps with valgrind info, they have 80 MB each, compressed, and the maximum is 10 megs. So I uploaded others, actually belonging to a different user. The system is apparently constantly purging the files, the most recent is dated an hour and a half ago. I saved a few to another directory under home. I have no idea if the coredump says what files it is having problems with. If you find out, I can provide samples, unless confidential files. I suspect they are photos. [...] Ah, confirmed. I looked inside a valgrind dump with midnight commander, and saw them: /home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5876_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5877_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5878_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5880_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5879_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg All have zero bytes. Well, you have now a wild guess: tracker doesn't check that the files have zero bytes and chokes on them. (the normal operation of shotwell can produce them by the hundreds) file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5882_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg...............b..p... ............... .file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5 883_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg...............b..o... ............... .file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07/DSC_5881_NEF_shotwell_12.jpg...............b..n... ............ ... .file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/07 but another valgrind file mentions "file:///home/cer/Pictures/2018/08/DSC_6196.JPG" which has 13 megs and was created by my camera. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E.
