No, by now I only use xine, which has been performing perfectly some days ago on the desktop at work... that one is a Pentium dual-core with 4 GB RAM... I guess it's more that enough to play music... :-)
Again, as for the engine... I almost can foresee that helix won't help me out either because, as I said, I can play files or streams perfectly using MPlayer, for example... Anyway, I'll give it a try...
Actually, for me Helix works just fine.
