You underestimate the combined power of Apple, Google and Mozilla. Content providers will be losing huge traffic to astute users if they don't abandon Flash very quickly.
And you underestimate the power of content providers to ignore all those. These people need a proprietary platform that allows them to control who and where has access to their content, and make sure that you can not store the content into a file.
