I have this message at every boot. It's harmless. I think it means the EIDE controller is running in a pnp environment & needs to be probed to determine it's settings. It's a kernel thing. -----Original Message----- From: Derek Ryan (ECMS) [SMTP:dryan@synstar.com] Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2000 12:29 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] PIIX4 not 100% native mode, will probe irq's later Ivan Adzhubei wrote:

Ivan,
How well did 6.3 install. The reason I ask is that I have had no success
with my own m/c. (Based on the same mobo) But with an IWill DS100 I had
no problems.
With my GA-6BXDS system, it get as far as installing all the packages
and hangs in a loop of some sorts. The last time I tried it, I left it
for about three hours and it was still looping!!
Any ideas?
