I don't know how to tell if I'm "using the Novell version from the DVD/CDs".
If you installed OpenOffice via YAST, then you're using the Novell version. The latest (that I've seen) is 2.0.4 (compared to the official OpenOffice.org at version 2.2.1).
Currently I have openoffice 2.0.4-38.5 installed, altho YaST2 displays this information in a strange way (it also shows three different versions of 2.0.4-38 being checked in the Product column and highlighted in gray -- no clue what that means).
Hmmm... I don't know either - anyone else care to chime in on this? There are several RPM files that get installed with YAST as part of the OpenOffice.org "package"... are you sure that this is multiple versions of the same file, or could it be simply the various RPMs for a single install? Not sure why it would be greyed out though.... To clean this up, you could try removing all of OpenOffice (using YAST), and then installing the latest version - that way you can hopefully end with a single version. Your config etc will remain in your /home so you should not loose anything. C. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
