My machine is really slow since loading v9.0 I really can't find any reason for it. It can take 3-4 minutes to start a
I have two drives hda and hdc, output is as follows:
/dev/hda:
multcount = 16 (on)
IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
unmaskirq = 1 (on)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 8 (on)
geometry = 4870/255/63, sectors = 78242976, start = 0
/dev/hdc:
multcount = 16 (on)
IO_support = 1 (32-bit)
unmaskirq = 1 (on)
using_dma = 1 (on)
keepsettings = 0 (off)
readonly = 0 (off)
readahead = 8 (on)
geometry = 2495/255/63, sectors = 40088160, start = 0

There is nothing reported in messages as being unusual, vmstat doesn't show any mysterious paging, (my machine has 1GB Ram), top shows cpu idle as 98%, and I have no idea where to look next... Can anybody give me a clue?
