Hello susers!
does anybody know how to localize nvu (the website ide) http://www.nvu.com/ There are language packages available on the website: http://ghaint.no-ip.org:8942/~k2/moz/nvul10n.html
But, it does not really state how to install these. In the end I just opened the file in nvu... For a regular user nothing happens. For root it gets localized..., but that is not system wide. It is for root only....
Looking forward to some clarity in this matter. Are there any tricks to be performed (e.g unzip the file in the /usr/lib/nvu/chrome/locate e.g.)?
I see two versions there, one full installer (installing a precompiled binary in the language) and one xpi, which installs as an extension. I just installed the Dutch xpi by going to tools->extensions and clicking Install, and it worked well, all text became Dutch. It used to be in mozilla that when you did this you got a question if you wanted to install it for all users or just for the current, and the difference would be that it installed in /opt/mozilla when you chose to install for all users, and $HOME/.mozilla otherwise. Now it just installs for the current user. I'm not sure how to change that But the full installer could be for all users, if you install it in the right place
