Now now Mike, lets not call these people morons, they are just to lazy to read the info on the site that says these tools are not included.
OK guys, I take great umbrage to both the "morons" and "lazy" remarks. There may be other reasons you know, like trying out a distro and PRICE. I came from RedHat to SuSE 6 something personal. Bought 7.0 personal, then 8.0 personal. Upgraded to 8.1 with apt. Then bought 8.2 personal. My first "pro" is 9.2. It was a learning process. You find out you don't have everything you need so you go and get it. My 8.0 personal was quickly converted to "pro" by getting files you needed and has continued from there to present.
I do agree that personal version was a mistake which is probably why it has been dropped in 9.2.
Well, I disagree. It was an option and should have been continued for people like myself. It is an intro to SuSE and a new user is more likely to try it, both for the price and simplicity. Not everyone wants to "compile" build networks, etc. etc. (Guess I am the exception, but that is only after I was introduced to SuSE personal) Some may just want a really good desktop operating system that they can do normal thing with every day. Think about this. At least I bought those 5 personal editions, Not like the people who will only go and download it for free via FTP.
