strong and seriuos. What about "have a lot of fun!"
I always found that one disadvantage of SuSE is that slogan they carry: "Have a lot of fun". Having fun with the OS is not my primary goal. It causes some irritation. Am I the only one to see it this way? (I remember someone complaining: looks like linux is just a stupid game.) I removed the phrase from /etc/motd (message of the day), so it's gone. But, what's more, I always wondered how a company with this slogan could ever be taken serious in business life. So I am glad to see now that at least they don't proclaim it from the housetops. ----------------->>>> Understand the connection to Linus but I don't like it either. It sounds and looks cheesy and non professional. That does matter when your consulting Linux solutions. The box for SuSE looks great! The stickers look like hell. The "Have a lot of fun!" sounds silly and not professional. It just doesn't fit with the best (hands down) distribution of Linux on the market, SuSE rules. Just because it's part of the history of Linux doesn't mean it a good marketing fit, I'm sure at some point of frustration Linus said derogatory statements too. I agree with Sjoerd Hiemstra make it more professional, at least the professional version... And darn it I will still have fun with it.
