Hi all,
I've been playing around with the GIMP today and have ended up creating 39 or so new images. I don't want to keep any of them, but it won't let me close the image (the option is greyed out, and Ctrl-w doesn't work). I know of two ways to close the images - save the image first, at which point the close option is reenabled, or shut down and restart the GIMP.
There must be some other way to close the images... Can anyone help? (Using SuSE 6.1, GIMP 1.1.4)
Thanks in advance, Chris --
Am using Gimp-1.1.14/SuSE6.3 Have had no trouble closing unsaved images -- just click "Close" after the warning requester comes up; or click the close gadget on the window. Was your Gimp compiled with your version of GlibC/Gtk in mind? Perhaps you need to recompile/upgrade.
In some unstable versions of GiMP (1.1.x), at least within KDE environment, i've experimented that sometimes when GiMP opens a new dialog it appears "minimized" and you don't see it until you press [alt]+[tab] or anything similar. Perhaps Chris is obtaining a hidden question dialog box for the "Close" option... May be not anyway... X) Have a good one,
