Hi, I am finally getting around to upgrading my 8.2 box to 9.0. When I do, I run into about 7 dependency conflicts...such as: Gal_0.24-69 is required by gnucash and gtkhtml, but guppi requires libgal.so.21 Openssl is the most disturbing, where libsasl2 is required from a pervious version (according to YaST). 2 (potentially stupid) questions: 1- is YaST checking the dependencies against the new packages to be installed (I selected the option to upgrade existing packages)? I assume the answer is yes otherwise there would be more problems. 2- Is it safe to ignore these? Re-installing from scratch is a pain on this device. I have tried resolving the dependencies by not upgrading those packages that are causing the problems, but that just results in other dependency problems. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I can give more detail on the problematic dependencies if it would help Thanks anthony
