Hi all, I want to discuss & give suggestion for SuSE installer. (taken from the manual) When installing SuSE, user were provided with this option: * Minimum system * Minumum graphical system * Default system * Default system with office * all Then this: * Development * Games * Gnome system * All of KDE * Multimedia * Network/Server * Lot of Documentation *** Install available source 1. I found this a bit anoying. Because if I choose all, it required 6.5GB, but if I select default system with office, then I select all of it (dev, games, gnome, kde, multimedia, netwok, doc) it doesn't add up to 6.5GB. I fell like I'm not installing all the program. 2. When I'm selecting multimedia, I didn't know if I also install some Gnome multimedia program.... I want more control over this. Anybody beside me fell anoyed by this fact??? My suggestion to SuSE were to put a more complex system in the installer... Something like this: Text X KDE1 KDE2 KDE3 Gnome Development x x x Games x x x x x Multimedia x x x Network/Server x x x So, I will know when I select multimedia I don't install some gnome multimedia stuff. Anybody thinks this is a bad idea?? Flame??? ------------------------- SuSE Professional 7.3 KDE 2.2.2
