I am sure, this is a really stupid question, but: how can move shortcuts (to application) into and out of the "desktop folder" = that semitransparent area on the desktop which contains by default 4-5 such shortcuts. (and maybe make disappear and reappear ...)
I succeeded (as a test) to copy a file there, but so far all efforts to copy shortcut (like for example a shortcut to OO Writer) have failed. The shortcut winds up on the desktop alright - but not in the transparent, movable area.
Sorry for the trouble. Thomas Hi You need to right-click on the desktop and unlock widgets, make your changes and then right-click and lock again.
