Hi Folks, I am having an awful problem with cups. Restarting the system after a controlled shutdown, the printers are not working anymore on a SuSE V9.2 system. I removed cups server and client using YaST, the removal was successful basilisk:~ # lpq -bash: lpq: command not found basilisk:~ # lpstat -bash: lpstat: command not found as I expected. Installing cups using YaST, I tried two methods: 1. Hardware -> printers, this tells me no printing system installed, select the cups installation type, where I check cups full server installation. This actually installs cups, (reading package information etc), then enters SuSEconfig, then goes into printer configuration, where YaST crashes in 'load current settings'. 2. Installing cups server manually via install software menu. This succeeds, step two is then again Hardware -> printers where YaST crashes in the 'load current settings' step too. running lpq or lpstat results in: basilisk:~ # lpq Segmentation fault basilisk:~ # lpstat Segmentation fault How do I fix this? What caused it? Thanks Peter
