-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Thanks to previous mails in this list, I was able to create a ~/.Xmodmap file linking the internet keys of my keyboard to F13, F14... Now I can use them to launch Konqueror, etc. But I have one problem : ~/.Xmodmap does not seem to be read during startup. Here is what I see : 1) If I login normally through kdm, the internet keys do not work, and if I check them with xev they are NOT linked correctly the F13, F14... 2) After that, I open a terminal and type "xmodmap .Xmodmap". Then the keys are linked correctly. The ~/.Xmodmap file should have been read in the ~/.xinitrc script. I'm sure the ~/.xinitrc script has been executed, so I don't understand. The problem is very annoying for another reason : even after the "xmodmap .Xmodmap" command the internet keys still don't work because KDE has not refreshed its keybindings. Seemingly, during login, KDE finds the keys F13, F14... don't exist yet, so it discards the bindings. I hope I'm clear... in any case, my question is : how can I make sure the ~/.Xmodmap is read during startup ? By the way, I'm using SuSE 7.1 i686. - -- Thibaut Cousin email : cousin@in2p3.fr web : http://clrwww.in2p3.fr -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7HzPhv1vqsTa1E4oRAgTrAJ96kBSuq8gzafagQfAheRAW/jDPZACeLAZ4 1VSnlTFu3NHwt+SXJYG2WGU= =XKvB -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
