Hi Edit /etc/samba/smb.conf and add create mask = 0666 directory mask = 0666 to the share - section. For additional info have a look at http://at.samba.org/samba/docs/man/smb.conf.5.html#CREATEMASK http://at.samba.org/samba/docs/man/smb.conf.5.html#DIRECTORYMASK http://at.samba.org/samba/docs/man/smb.conf.5.html#FORCECREATEMODE and http://at.samba.org/samba/docs/man/smb.conf.5.html#FORCEDIRECTORYMODE regards, Stefan
From: Andrei Verovski (aka MacGuru) [mailto:andreil1@mail.starlett.lv] Hi
Whenever I modify file(s) located on Samba share from Windows machine, the file permissions are reset from ugo-rw-rw-rw (read/write for user, group and others) to ugo-rw-rw--no read/write access for others. How I can change this behavior?
Thanks in advance for any suggestion(s).
