Sometimes (just after turning on my computer) when I try to use xmms to hear some mp3s I got that the program is unable to load the plug-in and that I should check if there was an appropriate plug in installed and bla bla.. Result: I can not hear anything. It doesn't matter what I try on this session I got this error. Most of the times after login in/out everything works fine again. Has anyone experienced this? What is the reason? or how can I diagnose this strange problem?
Have you upgraded/changed the version of the Xmms packages? What version are you running, and if you upgraded/installed what for was it and where did you get it? The reason I asked is if you did so via tarballs then you may have needed to use a particular flag/s to set parameters or pointers to dirs, libs, dev, and/or aliases etc. Cheers, Curtis.
