Yast2 or alsaconf should autodetect your card for ALSA. To use the kernel drivers, comment the alsa lines in modules.conf and uncomment the lines for the kernel drivers. Rob Blomquist wrote:

I have always used the kernel drivers, but it appears that SuSE prefers the ALSA drivers, and so I have tried.
And anyone give me tips, or should I go PCI?
