Guys, After updates, compiz is dead, so I was going to remove it and start over trying either J's packages in XGL or Dominiques' in compiz. No big deal, done it 50 times before, but this time: rpm -e $(rpm -qa | grep "compiz\|fusion\|emerald") python-ccm simple-ccsm is taking foreever? Why is gconftool-2 running when removing rpms anyway? Is there any way to tell rpm not to call gconftool-2 just for a few package removals? This should take no more than 30 seconds. I'm now 10 minutes into the removal?? -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
