Unfortunately KDE4 doesn't offer "most frequently used applications" in its start menu/application lancher/kickoff menu.

I know all of this, but I don't need recently used applications, it's useless for me. I mentioned I miss most frequently used applications which is a different thing, I guess you know the difference. (If not: KDE3 counts how many times an application is started from the kicker menu; those which are started most times are put on the top of the menu (not in a submenu). If I start firefox 50 times it won't be replaced by the last started application which I use only occasionally. Most recently used applications replaces items every time an application is started, that is firefox will be replaced by the last used application even if I start it once. The removal of most frequently used applications from KDE4 is one of its enhancement features.) A workaround could be the use of favorites menu where I can put manually those applications which would go to most frequently used applications automatically. (Not a full solution since navigating to Favorites -> wanted application requires more complex mouse navigation than selecting an application at the top of the menu list, furthermore I have to maintain the list manually.)
well, and hit the wrench to adjust how many are shown.
Launch a few apps a few times to make sure the recent is showing up. Then switch back to launcher style you had before.
And the recent tab is showing on the bottom right of the new style launcher. And it keeps being updated as you use the new style launcher.
Relock your widgets. I seldom use the new style launcher.
I still have no idea how I can remove the default/existing items from the favorites menu. Could you please help with this one? Thanks, Istvan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
