As to the performance or functionality of the Ultra66 card, try downloading the updated BIOS for this card from http://promise.com and install it as described in the readme. Michael Haiduk wrote:

...and then nothing. I'm assuming this is related to the Promise controller? Any ideas, suggestions, or comments? Linux is on hda (along with 98se and Win2k.)
