Clock on my Suse 8.0 machine starts to run really slowly after some days/weeks/months of normal functioning. One second on my computer lasts for 5-10 real seconds and the only cure for this is rebooting. Anyone else experiencing this weird behaviour?
I had something similar happen about a month ago, and I ended up tracing it back to something I had done with my firewall configuration that was blocking the return information to xntpd. Once I corrected that, all was well again. You didn't provide much information, so I don't know whether or not yours is a similar problem. -- Bob Swift
