Is any one out there using the intel cs630 pocket camera successfully and if so please let me know what to do
Try mounting the memory manually. Something like: mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/camera
i got an error message invalid block device also tried sda0 and sda with the same results
Does anyone know how to make the Intel CS630 USB camera work under Mandrake 8.2? Minimal function acceptable.
usbview reports the two USB hubs on my machine and finds the camera as well, identifying it by manufacturer etc. But I cannot identify anything in /dev that would seem to be the camera. Any information or suggestions? If I could simply copy photos in the camera to disk and then erase the ones in the camera I would be happy. You're almost there. Install gphoto2 and run it in a terminal window in
You might try "-t usbfs" ? Just a wild guess. I saw this on a groups.google search It says to use gphoto2 ######################################## the subdirectory into which you want the pictures to go. The camera needs to be powered up, of course. gphoto2 -P Bob Scott ############################################## -- use Perl; #powerful programmable prestidigitation
