Xine & Audigy SPDIF out - speaking of DVDs

Does anyone here have an Audigy and have working SPDIF out? I'm running Xine with Suse 8.0 pro on a duel Xeon Prestonia 2.2 ghz which works and works well. However, I can only get 2 channel front audio out from the Audigy, I can't get 4 channel or what I really want . SPDIF to my external Dolby Digital Decoder (Creative Labs Inspire 5.1 5700). This setup works flawlessly under XP Pro and WinDVD. It's not that big a deal ... I was surprised to get DVD functionality at all under linux, so I'll take what I can get.
