I did not catch the first part of the thread. If you are trying to force
full duplex and 100mbps on an Intel I have done a lot of work around this as
of Late.
For the Donald Becker eepro100 add an options line to your modules
alias eth0 eepr100
options eepro100 options="03x0"
for the Intel driver in SLES
alias eth0 e100
options e100 options="e100_speed_duplex=4"

Jon

I came across this question on another list recently. A package called mii-tool is supposed to do this.
I found it running on this Suse 7.1 system
gringo:/home/gringo # mii-tool eth0: negotiated 100baseTx-FD, link ok You have mail in /var/mail/root gringo:/home/gringo #

Hi list,
I tried to search for a solution for this problem but didn't find it yet. I'm using 3C905's and 3c980's in my network. Autonegotiation sets the nics to 100Mb half duplex, which doesn't "feel" much faster then my 10Mb nics I had before. I could really use more speed. Someone knows how to accomplish this ?
