I have a Zaurus and am trying to set up the usb sync as described in several recent posts and on SuSE's web site. I have compiled the usbdnet module and installed as described and made the changes to configuration files as described, but the network is not set up. The Zaurus is recongnized by the usb system when it is plugged in, but I can't get the network to start. I've rechecked all the configuration files, and am at a loss for the next step. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Have you actually assigned an IP address to the usb0 network interface?
I did assign an address in the yast setup screen. However, it doesn't appear in the ifconfig listing when plugging in the zaurus. I also tried manually setting an ip address, but it still doesn't work.

A quick update. I've found that if I manually assign an ip address in the 192.168.129.* sequence used by the zaurus, that I can ping between the zaurus and desktop, and qtopia seems to notice the zaurus and tries to connect, but still doesn't connect. Thanks again for the help, Bernie
