I was wondering if there is a way for a terminal program to startup automatically when a machine is restarted, and when you login it will show as an open window?
I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for here... (several permutations) but if you're running KDE, and you open an terminal (IKonsole) set it to size vt100 and save the defaults.... and leave it "open" when you log out of KDE, then the next time (and every time after that) you login the terminal will be open and waiting for you input... just don't close it when you log out.
This is only true if KDE is set to restore previous session when it starts. It is also possible to start with a manually stored session, or an empty session (ie. no applications running except any that might be in the autostart folder). -- Hypocrisy is the homage vice pays to virtue. -- François de La Rochefoucauld -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
