AFAIK cdrecord will only write an ISO or other disk image onto a blank CD. I do it like this - with data files, dunno the syntax for audio - : # mkisofs -r -J -o /target-dir/files.iso /source-dir (this creates an ISO file in the target dir from the files in source-dir) # cdrecord -v dev=0,3,0 speed=16 /target-dir/files.iso (which writes the ISO image onto the CD) HTH Arthur On Sunday 23 December 2001 6:19 pm, Josh Nobodyknows wrote:
i fell stupid asking this but i've searched all over and can't find an answer. i'm having some trouble burning a cd. I think(?) everything is setup right, it just dosen't work. Heres what happens:
# cdrecord dev=0,0,0 fs=4096k -v -useinfo speed=1 -eject -pad -audio /home/blunted/auto/cdrout/*
Then does all that stuff, it recognises the drive, goes through the tracks, etc, input buffer ready...and then it "preforming OPC" and comes back "cdrecord: Input/output error. read track info: scsi sendcmd: no error" and then gives me some other info and then "Fixating.. input/output error. close track/session. scsi sendcmd no error" and then gives me info similar to that given after the first error. And then it quits with nothing written to cd.

Any ideas, comments, suggestion, links? I really don't have much experience with cdr's and any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.
