I was trying bit torrent (unfortunately windows version) to download some isos at opensuse, but it goes at only 20KB/sec. Downloading with Opera 8.51 on windows, it is going at 300KB/sec.
Just curious.

It's been my experience that a fast ftp server beats bit torrent any day of the week. I find bit torrent is good for stuff where there isn't a fast public ftp, or when a normally fast public ftp is being hammered because a new version of linux came out. For example, I have to use bit torrent to get my suse dvd's if I want them the same day they are released. If I wait a day or two for the ftp mirrors to catch up, then I can get it much faster via ftp. Mark
