I noticed long ago that there was quite a difference between what I saw as smooth animation and what I perceived as unnoticeable reaction time. And, since we started discussing frame rates, I have started to notice a slight flicker on the monitor, like that of a fluorescent (thank God for spell checkers) bulb.
