hello once again ;)
i have my system installed with suse 9.1 and the latest version of postfix that is provided via YOU. my question is, ive got almost 7 domains that i would like to configure with postfix, any ideas where i can find a short howto to acomplish this?
On the Postfix.org site to begin with. It's got good documentation by the author and contributors. It all depends on how basic or extended you want Postfix to be. It can be as simple as adding all your domains to $mydestination and receive all mail locally, to using database structures, virtual domains, SASL/SSL, all sorts of spam/virus detection and countermeasures etc. If you think setting up an effective MTA for multiple domains can be described in a short "Postfix for dummies' text I'm afraid you've got a rather simplistic idea of what's involved (well, it can be, but not in an understandable form for first time users). I would suggest you subscribe to the postfix-users mailinglist first http://www.postfix.org/lists.html, and read the relevant posts in the archive http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=postfix-users Theo -- Theo v.
