I upgraded to 15.2 on 2021-12-31, and since then I have been flooded with coredumps from tracker-extract:

Literally, thousands.
Is this really not known? Is it worth a bugzilla? I reported this problem on the past and it keeps coming...
Is this the report? It's for 15.1. Can you update it for 15.2?
Thanks for your interest. Yes, that's the report. Sure, I can update it. Notice that the original report was with a different CPU. That was Intel, now I use AMD.
As for your question, whatever the cause, a segfault is a serious problem that always should be addressed. It should *not* happen. The solution is whether there is enough information and to reproduce the issue on the developer machine.
IMHO a core dump should give enough information to backtrace and not need to reproduce the issue. And if triggers on a particular file of mine, unless the file is confidential I can provide it.
Can you attach the actual coredump (or 2 or 3) to the bugreport? The

as an example. I'm assuming that your system is updated, rebooted, etc and still this remains?
Yes. System was running Leap 15.1, where I had the issue killed, and as soon as I upgraded to 15.2 it started again. The system has forcefully rebooted several times because hibernation crashes.
If you create a new test user and login with that user (create user, reboot, login with new user, don't touch uid=1000 use), does the problem start again or no longer occurs?
I don't know. That user will not have the same files. [...trying...] It crashes. User cer-g, uid 1030. +++........................ ● tracker-extract.service - Tracker metadata extractor Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/user/tracker-extract.service; static; vendor preset: disabled) Active: failed (Result: signal) since Wed 2021-01-06 21:03:56 CET; 1min 56s ago Process: 13709 ExecStart=/usr/lib/tracker-extract (code=killed, signal=SEGV) Main PID: 13709 (code=killed, signal=SEGV) Jan 06 21:03:56 Telcontar systemd[12586]: tracker-extract.service: Unit entered failed state.
