I believe there is a version of the SuSEfirewall that works with iptables. If you want to use ipchains then you can insmod the ipchains module for 2.4.X and it should work fine..I use ipchains mainly because for now it suites my needs and I don't know iptables. The module is here: /lib/modules/2.4.4-4GB/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ipchains.o There ya go. * Mark Hounschell (dmarkh@cfl.rr.com) [010608 02:48]: ->Can I assume that the SuSEfirewall-personal will only work with a SuSE ->2.4.2 or < kernel??? ->Is there a way for it to work with a vanilla or Mantels 2.4.4?? ->-- ->Mark Hounschell ->dmarkh@cfl.rr.com -> ->-- ->To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com ->For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com ->Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq and the ->archives at http://lists.suse.com -> -- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org ----- "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." -Benjamin Franklin
