Hi everyone I have used dd to make an iso of my SuSE dvd so I can leave it in the case and use it direct off my hdd, I would like to use fstab to mount it every time i start, but I cannot figure how to tell it "-o loop". Has anyone done this? Mount the iso normally: `mount -o loop /path/to/susedvd.iso /susedvd` - this works fine, but how do I transfer that to fstab? Thanks, H Stupid moment - its really simple, for anyone who wants to do this, the fstab entry looks like this:
/pathto/susedvd.iso /mnt/susedvd iso9660 defaults, loop,ro 0 0 This can be useful to store the dvd elsewhere (for those that dont have a DL writer) and just use it direct off disk, or make an installation server.
