Try to look for the dosemu.conf file which as I said long ago should be in /opt/dosemu/conf but it might be somewhere else in your setup.

. . . all my DOSemu files are in my /home directory
That may well be the case... but in your home directory... there should also be a dosemu.conf file. (which may be only a link to where dosemu really lives.)

think I had best take a break from dosemu for a while . . . then, maybe do a global installation as root? . . . maybe then the files will be in the right place, and it will be possible to make adjustments in /opt/dosemu/conf
