Umm, I would have left those, they're actually a pretty good default config.
Never mind, in order to make your postfix receive mail from other hosts, you need to amend "inet_interfaces" to include your hostname or ip-address.
was: inet_interfaces = localhost changing localhost for my server IP allowed telnet to connect on port 25 Check with netstat -ltn that it is indeed listening on
port 25.
was: tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN now (changing main.cf and restarting postfix) it is: tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:25 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
Then try connecting to it with 'telnet <host> 25'.
telnet connect, but I stil receive no mail, however I see this in mail.warn: postfix/smtp[25570]: warning: relayhost configuration problem thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
