Hi!
After a system update (nVidia drivers) through the software updater (openSUSE 10.2), I can't start the graphic interface, I start the system normally but at the end only got the command line, I introduced my user and password and run startx, getting the following:
xauth: creating new authority file /home/MyUser/.serverauth.4227 Fatal server error Could not create server lock file: /tmp/.x0-lock giving up xinit: connection refused (errno 111): unable to connect to X server xinit: no such process (errno 3): server error
After that I ran sax2 but it shows the "no screens found" error
Any help would be highly appreciated,
Try deleting the /tmp/.x0-lock file from the command line. It sounds like the X server didn't exit gracefully, and thus didn't clean up its mess. -- Jonathan Arnold (mailto:jdarnold@buddydog.org) Daemon Dancing in the Dark, an Open OS weblog: http://freebsd.amazingdev.com/blog/ UNIX is user-friendly.
