If you had selected "Configure now" (or whatever english is there) the code would have added an update mirror.
Mmh, OK, but I don't want to register myself (the help in the left strip mentions that I register by following "Configure now") and I'm sure this is true for most other users as well!
Shame on you! Normally I would report this as bug (at least against the website) but my last experiences with Novell was that I need to register first and that I even have to specify my (snail) mail address. I will not do so and try to ignore all Suse related bugs that's why (in Debian I report everything, often provide patches but OpenSuse, oh no ...).
Sorry to have you disappointed.
Security updates are really important, they should not be hidden! I really wonder why even Google doesn't help with such a basic topic. The Debian webteam discussed recently whether the security announcements (which also contains the URLs) could be removed from the top level page and I agreed on it. Now I know it better, they belong to it. How many clicks are necessary to find this information on http://de.opensuse.org? At least 2 ...
A valid update URL for instance is: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/suse/update/10.2/
Thanks.
(its not under /pub/opensuse/ for older products).
Mmh, it's not even possible to add a symbolic link from opensuse/? Jens -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
