I have install the suse 8.2 and try to use ethereal. But, I can only use on root, not in my own account.
When I login as my account and run ethereal I have got the following error:

I have shutdown the firewall for testing - not work. Any thing I can do to fix the problem?
You have to have root permissions to run ethereal. It does some pretty heavy stuff with the NIC. This is a good thing; otherwise anyone would be able to sniff the traffic on the network. --
