I've installed OpenSUSE 11.1 recently and need to run netscape to recover some old mail.
Netscape stores mail in the mbox format, and therefore, you can reuse the folder in any other linux mail client program, as is. The only thing that you may loose is the index that stores such information as "replied to", "read", "important", etc. The indexes are recreated. Or, you can use Seamonkey or Thunderbird, which use the same format and indexes - unless you are talking of Netscape 4.x series. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
