Hi Fred, I am sorry for the late response. I had vacation last two weeks. On Tuesday 07 July 2009, Fred A. Miller wrote:
Why is it that there's NOT a 64-bit version of Openoffice 3.1 from the openSUSE OO repository, but there's a perfectly good version that installs from the OO site? I thought that over the past couple of months that this would change, but it hasn't...STILL not a version available.
What repository did you mean? OpenOffice.org:UNSTABLE? Were the 64-bit packages missing only for factory or other distros? I have problems to rebuild OOo on factory because of build dependencies. If anyone modifies a low level package, the rebuild of OOo is blocked until all needed packages are rebuilt. Factory is updated too often, so OOo build is blocked almost all the time. We do optimizations of the Build Service and also of the OOo build dependencies but it is slow process :-( -- Best Regards, Petr Mladek software developer --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX, s. r. o. e-mail: pmladek@suse.cz Lihovarská 1060/12 tel: +420 284 028 952 190 00 Prague 9 fax: +420 284 028 951 Czech Republic http://www.suse.cz/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
