I got the sound working by bringing up the KMixer console and making a few adjustments. So that's even better! It looks like the version of VMWare that SuSE packages is an eval copy of the Workstation version, for which I got an eval license from VMWare. I'll tinker with it until the license expires, and then probably go and get the express version, since all I care about is running one instance of a virtual workstation. I want to keep running Quicken a little longer, but the real reason is that the database modelling tool from Embarcadero that I use runs only on Windows. If I can get it to work under VMWare, then I will be set. Thanks all! -ronc On Friday 08 June 2001 11:56, you wrote:

Hey Ron,
There is a express version of VMware that is only $89 bucks...not too terribly bad...still could be cheaper if you ask me. I think you can only run one instance at a time...which is all I run at one time anyway. :)
