I have SuSE 9.2 Pro, but I can't install it. I have notebook Umax 575T - Celeron 2.4GHz, 512MB RAM, 40GB HDD, DVD/CDRW. This computer successfully run SuSE 9.1 downloaded from FTP and SuSE 9.0 installed from CDs. I made no changes in BIOS settings between installations. I am assuming that you are trying to install from DVD. If so, try installing from the CDs, then add the missing packages later. Another possibility is to install from hard disk. I did this on my laptop and one of my desktops at work because they can't read the DVD. If you have an existing partition that can hold the full DVD contents (8GB), just copy the DVD contents to that partition using your existing Linux or by using the rescue standalone CD.
