Yup, agreed. I've seen.. this is a while ago now.... probs with both kde3base and kde4base installed at the same time. Slowdowns etc. This has been chattered about on the ML here.. and in other places. I assume it's not an issue anymore... but the reason I brought it up, is that it seems like many of the issues people bump into with KDE4 are traceable back to config issues, KDE3 installed, or them trying to force KDE4 to do something it can't yet.
